RAM Restaurant & Brewery Reopening in Idaho

We’ve been thinking about our Idaho Ramily in recent months, hoping that you’ve been safe and well.  Today, we are happy to announce that indoor and patio table service, curbside takeout, beer to-go, and delivery will begin in Boise and Meridian on Saturday, May 16th at 11:30am!

We are very excited to welcome you back to our tables so we can raise our glasses once again!

To ensure your safety, additional precautions will be taken if you choose to dine inside or on the patio, such as: reduced occupancy, socially distanced tables (minimum 6 feet apart), team members wearing masks and gloves, removal of shared items from tables (such as condiments), additional hand-sanitizing units for guests and team members, controlled foot traffic paths through the building, and contact-free payment options (with smartphones) — in addition to the many protocols and procedures we have always used to keep you safe.

Interested in curbside takeout?  Starting on May 16th, simply place an order on our website (using the link below) and call to let us know when you’ve arrived.  We’ll coordinate your contact-free pick-up from there!

(Please note that 3rd party delivery partners collect up to 30% of every order you place.  We very much appreciate you considering our takeout options as we get back on our feet!)

We are thrilled to serve you again, safely and with a smile.

See you soon,
-Your Friends at The RAM

P.S.  You’ll notice that we are re-opening with a limited selection of your favorite items to start.  Please know that we’re working hard to navigate a rapidly-changing food supply chain, and that we’re re-introduce more of your favorites as soon as we’re able!

To Our Many Friends

Stay tuned!  We’ll post updates whenever we can.

RAM Celebrates 25 Years of Independent Brewing

When craft beer emerged in the late 80s, Ram locations got their hands on it and were soon surprised by how popular it was. Our President Jeff Iverson recounts a day in the late 90s when we first thought to throw our hat in the ring and brew our own beer. “Beer, since day one, had always been one of the backbones of The Ram. That’s why we thought that brewing our own beer could elevate and grow our brand.”

Getting in craft beer brewing early, of course, had plenty of upside, but it also presented a number of challenges to overcome. First and foremost, we found ourselves having to familiarize people with craft beer. “In the early days, regulars used to ask us ‘what is that stuff?’ says Colorado Regional Leader, Kevin Sheesley. “The Porter, being so dark in color, definitely took some convincing that it was actually a beer when we first started selling it. It sounds crazy today, but there was a time when craft beer was virtually unknown. “

We have 11 brewing sites, ranging from 7 BBL to 15 BBL in size. From these 11 brewing sites came 15,000 barrels of beer in 2019. In most cases, your beer is brewed in the same building in which you’re enjoying that delicious cheeseburger. Our founders, Jeff Iverson Sr. and Cal Chandler, thought that building the breweries in the restaurants would create a lasting impression on our guests. When you visit us for a meal or drinks, you can see where your beer is brewed, watch the process unfold, and even meet the brewer responsible for that beer you’re enjoying. Anyone and everyone can be a part of our beer family.
