With the help of our guests, we made the most of 2021 by supporting some great local and national causes. In 2021, we partnered with Ales for ALS, Operation Homefront, and Child’s play to provide for those in need and make impactful donations — all with your help! In total, we raised over $33,000 for these great causes last year.
First in 2021, the great folks at Operation Homefront. Operation Homefront is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive — not simply struggle to get by — in the communities they have worked so hard to protect.
For over sixteen years, they have provided programs that offer relief through Critical Financial Assistance and transitional housing programs, resiliency through permanent housing and caregiver support services, and recurring family support programs and services throughout the year that help military families overcome the short-term bumps in the road so they don’t become long-term chronic problems.
Next, we partnered with our longtime friends at Ales for ALS to brew IPA 4 ALS! Ales for ALS, a charity started by Yakima, WA hop farmers Cheryl Hanses and Mike Smith was inspired by the ALS diagnosis of Cheryl’s brother. Cheryl and Mike then teamed up with their friends in the brewing business to raise money for ALS research and treatment efforts. Cheryl and her daughter came up with the phrase ‘Ales for ALS,’ trademarked it, and transformed it from a small pilot project into the worldwide effort it is today!
Finally, we teamed up with Child’s Play. This Seattle-based charity works to provide games, books, and toys for over 185 children’s hospitals across the world!
Throughout the year, $0.50 from every pint of a selected beer sold was donated to these great initiatives. Those beers were Buttface Amber Ale, IPA 4 ALS, and Hometown Blonde. With your help, we made a difference in 2021!

From November 25th to December 31st, we’re donating $0.50 from every pint of Hometown Blonde to Child’s Play. This year, our Friends at Tito’s Handmade Vodka are joining in and donating $0.50 from every Tito’s cocktail sold (up to $5,000)! Every pint and cocktail sold helps provide games, books, and toys for over 190 children’s hospitals across the world. Last year, you helped us raise $10,000!
Together, let’s raise a glass for a good cause and help provide for children and teens this holiday season. To learn more about our friends at Child’s Play and their mission, click the link below!
