$3487 Raised for Tacoma Museum of Glass

TACOMA, WA – The RAM Restaurant & Brewery partnered with Tacoma’s Museum of Glass (MOG) recently and tapped a special Conehead Kolsch beer in its restaurants. $1 from each Conehead sale was donated back to the MOG. The name “Conehead” was a fun way to tie back into the museum’s famous cone where the glass is blown and amazing artwork comes to life. Brewed by the award-winning brewery team at The RAM, Conehead Kolsch featured a light-bodied, mild, and clean malt profile and noble hop character to add a snappy finish. This easy-to-drink beer featured Hallertau and Azacca hops for a not-so-bitter, soft and fruity finish.

The Conehead was available at the Tacoma, Lakewood, Kent, Puyallup, and Federal Way Rams, as well as CI Shenanigans on the waterfront in Tacoma. The partnership was culminated with a beer garden celebration on the plaza outside the Museum to coincide with Glass Fest Northwest, a community event hosted by Museum of Glass and Tacoma Art Museum. Here The RAM poured the last few kegs and celebrated the successful collaboration with the Museum. Final proceeds at the end of the month totaled $3,487!

Museum of Glass Executive Director, Debbie Lenk, said, “Partnering with the RAM was a first for the Museum, and based on the results, I’m hoping there will be more opportunities in the future. From naming the beer, to the tasting party, and finally the beer garden at Glass Fest, this was a terrific collaboration and I’m pleased that we will be able to use the proceeds from this effort to support the Museum’s community programs.”
