The RAM Restaurant and Brewery Brings Home 4 Medals From GABF!

The RAM was honored this past weekend with one gold and three silver medals at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO! Headlining the heavy medal haul was the gold medal awarded to our flagship Hefeweizen beer in the South German Hefeweizen category! Bringing home silver medals were the Anaheim IPA from the Indianapolis RAM in the Field or Pumpkin Beer category, the Barrel Aged Frostbite Lager from the Wheeling, Illinois RAM in the Barrel-Aged Beer category, and the Bavarian Sun from the Schaumberg, Illinois RAM in the German-Style Wheat Beer category.

Hefeweizen joins two other RAM flagship brews with gold medals from the GABF; the Total Disorder Porter and Blonde were awarded gold medals in 2010 and 2011, respectively. These prized beers are on tap anytime at all of our RAM locations.

The GABF is the premier U.S. beer festival and competition drawing a record setting number of guests and gathering nearly every type of beer from all over the country. Tasting sessions offer attendees the opportunity to tour America’s brewing landscape with access to more than 2,800 different beers from 600 of the nation’s finest breweries. This year the GABF experts judged a total of 4,809 beers and awarded 252 medals in excellence in 74 beer-style categories.
