RAM Brew Honored with Bronze Medal at the North American Beer Awards

The RAM Restaurant and Brewery was recognized by the North American Brewers’ Association at their 14th annual beer awards in Idaho Falls, Idaho on June 5, 2010. The RAM International restaurants received 11 medals for their hand-crafted beers from Washington, Oregon, Colorado, and Idaho.

The RAM Restaurant and Brewery in Seattle, WA won a gold medal for the “Big Horn Blonde.” “We are very happy to see our standard, year round beers winning awards,” said Steve Samuelson, Regional Brewer for the RAM. The “Big Horn Blonde” brew is continually on tap at RAM Restaurants and is a customer favorite throughout the year.

Also winning a gold in the Best Bitter category was “Auntie Esthers Best Bitter” out of the Tacoma, WA RAM Restaurant.

The American-style India Pale Ale, “Taildragger IPA” from the Boise, ID RAM location, the “Pilsner Noelle” and the Alt style, “Highwater Altbier” out of the Westminster, CO C.B.& Potts location were also awarded with gold medals.

A Silver medal was awarded to the “Owyhees Oktoberfest” out of the Boise, ID RAM.

Bronze medals were also awarded to the “Sawtooth Stout” and the “Bottle Rocket Lager” out of the RAM in Boise, ID, “West Village Red” from the Happy Valley, OR RAM, and the “Salem Spring Bock” and the Belgian Dark Ale the “Ski Lifter” from the Salem, OR RAM.

The North American Beer Awards were held June 2-5, 2010 and awarded medals to the best beers from over 1,200 entries in 72 categories. The judges are professional brewers and certified beer judges who evaluate samples over four days in blind tastings.
