The RAM Restaurant and Brewery Recognized at the 2007 Great American Beer Festival
The RAM Restaurant and Brewery was recognized Saturday at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colo. for their hand-crafted beers at its Indianapolis location.
The judges at the Great American Beer Festival evaluated over 2,800 beers representing 474 breweries from across the U.S. in their annual festival. The results were named on October 13, 2007 as beers from across the nation were awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals in each of the 75 categories.
The RAM Restaurant and Brewery was awarded a Bronze medal for its Buffalo Bock brewed by Dave Colt in Indianapolis. The Buffalo Bock was entered into the GABF as a Wood and Barrel Aged beer. It was aged by Colt in a Buffalo trace bourbon barrel for 6 months prior too it’s entry into the festival.
The RAM Restaurant and Brewery brews its’ own ales and lagers at each of their locations. Some of their hand-crafted beers are featured year-round on the RAM menu while other brews are considered “seasonal” and alternate on the taps throughout the year.
Brewing medal winning ales and lagers, the company has been recognized by the Great American Beer Festival with 29 awards since 1996. The RAM’s Indianapolis location also won medals at the Indiana State Fair earlier this year.
The Ram Restaurant and Brewery is a family-owned-and-operated business headquartered in Lakewood, Wash. Established in 1971, the Ram has 27 locations in seven states and two new locations are scheduled to open early next year.
